$4B fund allotted for CL infra

Clark, Freeport – Clark Development Corporation President Noel Manankil said a total of $4 billion fund is allotted to finance various infrastructures in Central Luzon in the next five years.

This was revealed during the conference of local government officials and stakeholders dubbed as “Build Build Build Clark Development Stakeholders Roadshow” held at Royce Hotel the other day.

Among the projected infrastructures is the Manila-Clark railway that guarantees an hour travel time from Metro Manila to the Clark International Airport.

Likewise, the Subic Clark Cargo Railway Project that will link Subic Port to Clark Freeport enhancing cargo transport efficiency in the two free ports at the same time decongest traffic in Metro Manila.

The highly anticipated expansion of the Clark International Airport New Terminal Building will also serve as an alternative to Manila’s overcrowded terminal.

The projects are in line with President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s massive infrastructure plan to improve transportation, decongest Metro Manila and propel economic growth of the country.

Manankil said the funds will be used in the erection of the Metro-Clark airport, road widening, construction of railways and the rise of the Green City in Clark.

The country’s leading infrastructure agencies are working in close coordination to build new facilities.
