581 Bulakenyos get free medical services

Some 581 Bulakenyos have received  free medical and surgery during the 4-day health service initiated by the Philippine Medical Association Medical Mission Foundation of Greater St. Louis, Missouri, United States of America in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bulacan at the Bulacan Provincial Gymnasiun in the City of Malolos.

This is the eight time the PMAMMF of Greater St. Louis, Missouri, USA and the PGB partnered to provide free health services to deserving Bulakenyos.

Ma. Fe Batac, 60 years old from Mambog, City of Malolos, said this is her second time to participate in the said medical and surgical mission. 

The delegates from the US were ealier welcomed by the provincial officials headed by Gov. Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, and heads and division heads of PGB offices before the medical mission proceeded.

“We have been doing this for 8 years and we are happy to help people out. We thank all the individuals behind this project and I’m hoping that we are able to help more people this year,” Dr. Vicente Zata, president of PMAMMF said during the short program.

Further, Fernando expressed his gratitude to the association and said their unselfish actions have helped transform the lives of many Bulakenyos.

“Your generous contribution of time and energy to this medical mission has been an incredible gift to our people. Your generosity extends not only through your acts of giving but also through the lives that you help transform through this mission,” Fernando said.

The four-day free medical and surgical mission will run until January 30.
