Another factory of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) was discovered by police authorities in Apalit town on Saturday during an inspection of an abandoned residential unit in Barangay San Juan in that town, a top police official said.
“What we stumbled upon was a kitchen-type shabu laboratory,” said Senior Supt. Joel Consulta, acting director of the Pampanga Provincial Police Office (PPO) stationed in this city.
Consulta said the discovery of the shabu lab in Apalit town brings to six the number of “meth” factories dismantled in Pampanga and Angeles City areas for this year alone.
“Actually we discovered this laboratory by accident when our policemen escorted a court employee who was about to serve a writ of execution against a group of Chinese who occupied the residential unit situated in Sitio Sto. Nino,” said Consulta over the phone.
Early this year, anti-illegal drugs authorities dismantled three shabu laboratories in different posh subdivisions in Angeles City, followed by the discovery of an underground methamphetamine laboratory in Magalang and a mega shabu lab in Arayat town.
Consulta said the inspecting team found equipment and controlled precursors and chemicals obviously used in manufacturing shabu.
Sheriff Enrique Calaguas of RTC-Branch 79, City of Malolos, Bulacan and a team of policemen served a Writ of Execution on Civil Case No. 720-M-2012 between Feedmix Specialist II Inc. vs spouses Robert Ngan Yiu Ting @ Robert Gan, Lolita Gan and Raymond T. Gan, all Chinese nationals, said Consulta.
Consulta said his men saw suspicious equipment and chemicals allegedly used in the manufacture of illegal drugs.
