CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA – Governor Dennis “Delta” G. Pineda deployed seven doctors in different provincial and district hospitals run by the provincial government after signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Health (DOH) for their deployment.
This came after the Sangguniang Panlalawigan led by Vice-Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ G. Pineda had passed a resolution authorizing the governor to enter and sign a MOA for the deployment of doctors.
With this, the doctors who made a courtesy call at the Capitol were given a piece of advice from the vice governor on how to discharge their duties.
“Ngayon pa lang, advise ko lang, malalim na pang-unawa. Nandito yung kapitolyo to support your patient. Tapos siguro marami pang tiyaga,” Vice-Governor Pineda stressed.
She also congratulated the doctors, who are about to get the first-hand experience on the real sacrifices of doctors in rural areas.
According to Cesar Cassion, DOH-R3 regional director, the program is aimed at bringing the health services closer to the constituents and at increasing the ability of the district hospitals to cater to the healthcare and medical needs.
“Ang kagandahan po sa Pampanga, priority po yung health. Mabilis po yung pakikipag-ugnayan sa Department of Health regarding sa Deployment Program at saka yung sa kabuuang programang pangkalusugan”, he said.
It can be recalled that seventeen doctors were conferred during the flag-raising ceremony on Monday as they completed their one-year deployment in different district hospitals.
Moreover, the Vice-Governor is also planning to implement a preventive healthcare program in the first month of 2020.
