About 84 individuals in Bataan received livelihood kits from Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) this year.
This is under the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Program.
DTI Bataan Senior Trade Industry Development Specialist and Information Officer Teresita Magtanong said PPG is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program for microenterprises, prioritizing areas affected by fire incidents and other calamities, including armed conflicts and health disasters.
Recipients in the province include young entrepreneurs, displaced individuals, and indigenous peoples (IPs).
“Through PPG, DTI Bataan has awarded livelihood kits worth P10,000 each to 35 beneficiaries of a bigasan package, 3 beneficiaries of sari-sari store package, and 1 recipient of agricultural supply from the Balik Probinsya May Pag-asa Program,” Magtanong added.
It has also given livelihood kits worth P15,000 in the form of baking supplies and equipment to 30 IPs in the towns of Mariveles and Dinalupihan, and 15 young entrepreneurs from Bataan Peninsula State University.
The agency is set to award 549 more livelihood kits amounting to P10,000 each to displaced individuals and former rebels in October. (CLJD/CASB-PIA 3)
