92% of CL establishments comply with DOLE, DTI guidelines

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — About 6,950 or 92.38 percent of the 7,523 monitored establishments in Central Luzon are compliant with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Interim Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19. 

“They are tagged as compliant if they have established the minimum health and safety measures as indicated in the interim guidelines,” DOLE Regional Director Ma. Zenaida Angara-Campita explained. 

These include wearing of face masks, physical distancing of at least one meter, recording of body temperature, disinfection and sanitation routine, and signage on safety measures.

The DTI and DOLE Interim Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19 was issued on April 30, 2020. On August 14, DOLE and DTI issued Joint Memorandum Circular No. 20-04, series of 2020 or the Supplemental Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19. 

The monitoring of COVID-19 prevention and control measures in the workplace is ongoing and carries through with the additional set guidelines. (CLJD-PIA 3)
