Pampanga, Israel explore innovation, trade partnership

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Strengthening ties through innovation and economic collaboration, Ambassador-Designate to Israel Aileen S. Mendiola-Rau met with Pampanga business leaders on April 3 to explore strategic partnerships between the province and Israel.

Hosted by the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (PamCham), the meeting underscored potential synergies in agriculture, aquaculture, renewable energy, digital innovation, health tech, and cybersecurity. Recognizing Israel’s global leadership in technology and Pampanga’s growing economic profile, the dialogue marked a significant step toward cross-border cooperation.

PamCham President Atty. Paul L. Yusi expressed optimism about joint ventures and technology transfer that could transform Pampanga’s industries and enhance its global competitiveness. Among the proposed areas of collaboration are agri-tech, post-harvest solutions, renewable energy systems, and digital transformation tools such as fintech and e-governance.

Also discussed were plans for a Pampanga-Israel Business Forum, pilot innovation projects in the province, and a proposed study tour to Israel aimed at deepening ties and sharing best practices.
