The #BCDA has formalized its partnership with South Korea-based Saekyung Unitless Co. and Philippine-based Sta. Clara International Corp. (SCIC) for the development of a 6.1-hectare affordable housing project in New Clark City, a portion of which will be part of the Marcos administration’s Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
In a ceremony held yesterday in Seoul, BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang signed the contract of lease with Saekyung Managing Director Chan Ju Park and SCIC Deputy Managing Director Miguel Carlos Linao for the housing project, which will feature 3,320 units with a total investment commitment of Php4.8 billion.

The signing was witnessed by BCDA Chairman Hilario B. Paredes and Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corp. Director Seo Changhoon. Also present were key Philippine and South Korean officials and stakeholders, including Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Frederick D. Go, Philippine Ambassador to South Korea Maria Theresa B. Dizon-De Vega, Trade Undersecretary Ceferino S. Rodolfo, BCDA Executive Vice President Gisela Z. Kalalo, BCDA Senior Vice President for Conversion and Development Mark P. Torres, Saekyung Group President Hyun-il Shim, Saekyung Unitless Group Alvin Hyun Chul Shim, Saekyung Industry Corp. President Kwang Jo Yu, and Team Member Hyun Jin Kang.
