SM Cares, in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), continues to strengthen its commitment to maternal and child health advocacy.
This accreditation, granted by the DOH, recognizes SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown’s efforts in implementing policies and facilities that promote the health, safety, and well-being of both mothers and infants.
This prestigious certification highlights SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown’s commitment to workplace inclusivity, maternal health, and child welfare. The malls have introduced a range of family-friendly initiatives, including, dedicated breastfeeding and lactation rooms equipped with comfortable seating and privacy features; workplace accommodations tailored for nursing employees, allowing flexible schedules and designated break times; parent-friendly policies, including enhanced maternity benefits and child care assistance.
By providing safe spaces, essential resources and advocacy-driven programs, SM Cares is creating a lasting impact on maternal and child health. Breastfeeding stations are located at Level 3 of SM City Olongapo Downtown and Level 4 of SM City Olongapo Central.
