US, PH discuss stronger transportation ties

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – US Ambassador MaryKay Carlson and Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon met to explore deeper cooperation in aviation, maritime, and rail sectors, aiming to boost connectivity between the United States and the Philippines.

The high-level discussion focused on expanding direct flights, enhancing transport infrastructure, and fostering greater economic integration through the Luzon Economic Corridor — a key initiative under the US-led Indo-Pacific partnership framework.
