Sweetnotes to release first album of originals

GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines – From viral covers to original hits—Sweetnotes, the popular singing duo composed of real-life couple Janine Teñoso and Armand Bernardo, is ready to take the next step in their musical journey with the release of their debut album featuring all-original songs.

Best known for their stripped-down acoustic covers of OPM classics and trending pop hits, Sweetnotes rose to fame during the pandemic and quickly amassed a massive following—over six million on Facebook and nearly two million subscribers on YouTube.

Their most-viewed performances include emotional renditions of “Kung Di Rin Lang Ikaw” and “Ikaw Lang”, which consistently trended on social media and earned millions of views.

Now, the couple is shifting the spotlight onto their own material. Their debut album, set to drop later this year, will feature original compositions that reflect their signature harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and unmistakable chemistry.

“This is a big step for us,” Janine said. “We’ve always dreamed of sharing our own stories through music. Our fans have supported us through every cover—we hope they’ll connect with our originals even more.”

Armand added, “We’re grateful for every stage, every screen we’ve performed on. This album is for everyone who believed in Sweetnotes from the beginning.”

The couple has been performing live around the country with a string of sold-out gigs in malls, provincial festivals, and even international shows catering to the Filipino diaspora.

With their growing popularity and strong fanbase, Sweetnotes is poised to carve out their own place in the OPM scene—not just as cover artists, but as storytellers with a sound uniquely their own.
