LUBAO, Pampanga – As the school year nears, thousands of indigent students in Lubao received a boost with the distribution of 13,549 school supply kits—an initiative led by the local government and supported by the Pineda family.

Of the total kits, 12,147 were provided by the Lubao municipal government, while 1,402 kits came as personal donations from Mayor Esmeralda Pineda and Councilor-elect Jayson Victorino. Each kit includes notebooks, pad papers, and various writing and coloring materials.

The supplies were handed over to barangay captains for localized distribution, targeting primary and secondary students across communities. “This simple effort is part of our commitment to ensure that no child is left behind because of lack of school supplies,” Mayor Pineda said.

The effort extended beyond kits. In a show of bayanihan, barangay officials contributed paint to help improve school facilities. The LGU also installed 82 new pairs of blackboards, repainted 226 others, and donated 492 ceiling fans to public schools in an effort to beat classroom heat and enhance learning conditions.

The project highlights the strong partnership between the local government, barangay leaders, and the Pineda family in prioritizing education and uplifting young learners in Lubao.
