PORAC, Pampanga — EcoProtect Management Corporation (EPMC), operator of a landfill facility in Barangay Mancatian, Porac, has been cleared of environmental and sanitation complaints raised by residents earlier this month.
The clearance came after a formal inspection and review by local barangay officials.
In a letter addressed to Mayor Francis Laurence Tamayo, Barangay Chairman Edilberto Layug confirmed that EPMC had “fully complied” with all issues raised by the community.
The concerns, which included environmental risks and sanitation practices, were thoroughly investigated by the barangay council.
Following the inspection, officials found that EPMC had taken all necessary steps to address the problems.
Chairman Layug stated that the company responded promptly and implemented corrective measures in line with barangay standards.
“The establishment acted in good faith and resolved the matter according to the standards set by the barangay,” Layug wrote.
He also acknowledged the cooperation shown by EPMC during the resolution process.
The Barangay Council of Mancatian formally recognized EPMC’s efforts to correct the issues and expressed appreciation for the company’s commitment to maintaining safe and responsible operations in the community.
With the complaints resolved, barangay officials say no further action is needed at this time.
EPMC continues to operate under the monitoring of local authorities to ensure compliance with environmental and sanitation guidelines.
