CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga – The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) underscored the power of storytelling and sustainability in public communication during the 4th Kapihan at Balitaan held on June 19 at the Clark Visitors Center, in partnership with the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) Pampanga Chapter.
The media forum gathered communicators, journalists, and public information officers to explore how narrative can amplify impact, strengthen community identity, and foster inclusive growth.
CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera opened the dialogue with a call to action: “We are opening the gates of Clark to the media—we’re opening the stories of its people: stories of strength, of rebuilding, and of growth driven by resilience.”
She emphasized the importance of remembering Clark’s origins—particularly how local communities rebounded from the Mount Pinatubo eruption—and encouraged media professionals to spotlight stories of transformation and perseverance.
Beyond the forum, the CDC also hosted a capability-building workshop for its information officers, aimed at improving grassroots storytelling and communication skills. The sessions were led by CLTV36 News Manager Justine Dizon, who discussed effective reporting techniques on tourism, arts, culture, and history, along with news writing fundamentals.
“Our best infrastructure is not just physical. It’s our people,” Devanadera said. “When we invest in their skills, we build a future that’s more inclusive, more sustainable.”
The initiative forms part of CDC’s broader communication thrust—merging infrastructure with investment in human capital to shape Clark into a premier hub of innovation, heritage, and development.
