New chief takes helm at Pampanga PPO

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – A Turnover of Office Ceremony was held on June 23, 2025, marking the change in leadership at the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) based in Barangay Sto. Niño, City of San Fernando.

The ceremony formalized the handover of responsibilities from Police Colonel Jay C. Dimaandal, the outgoing Provincial Director, to Police Colonel Eugene M. Marcelo, the newly designated head of the Pampanga PPO.

Police Brigadier General Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), presided over the event held at Bale Katimawan, praising Dimaandal’s service and expressing full confidence in Marcelo’s leadership.

Peñones highlighted the importance of continuity in police service and accountability. “We recognize the work of Col. Dimaandal in maintaining order and public trust in the province, and we look forward to Col. Marcelo’s continued commitment to excellence in public safety,” he said.

Personnel of the Pampanga PPO, along with families and Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) classmates of both officers, witnessed the symbolic transfer of command.
