Farmers graduate from sustainable agriculture training

About 100 farmers from Guagua and Santa Rita, Pampanga have successfully completed a training program dedicated to sustainable agriculture. The graduation ceremony was held at SM City Pampanga’s Event Center on June 25.

The training was conducted in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Tourism (DOT), the local governments of Santa Rita and Guagua, BDO Network Bank, and St. Isidore the Farmer Learning Center, Inc.

The Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) program has empowered participants to become the next generation of entrepreneurs through skills training in sustainable urban gardening.

SM Foundation Vice President for Livelihood and Outreach Programs Cristie Angeles congratulated the graduates and emphasized the role of sustainable agriculture in driving community development.

Launched in 2007, the KSK program continues to serve as a key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative promoting sustainable farming across the country.
