CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a new school facility at Prado Siongco Elementary School in Lubao, Pampanga, providing additional learning spaces to help meet the needs of the growing student population.
The one-story structure, built at a total cost of P9.94 million, consists of four classrooms equipped with blackboards, ceiling fans, and lighting fixtures.
The new facility offers a more comfortable and functional space for both teaching and learning, in line with the government’s commitment to improving access to quality education.
DPWH Pampanga 2nd District Engineer Gregorio Audea, Jr. said the project will help accommodate more students, particularly those from underserved and remote communities.
“Expanding educational infrastructure through added facilities with modernized features supports quality learning environments. This new facility will help equip the next generation with the knowledge and skills needed to become productive members of society,” Audea emphasized.
The project, funded under the 2024 national budget, forms part of the DPWH’s ongoing efforts to upgrade public school facilities across the country, complementing the administration’s initiatives to ensure inclusive and accessible education for Filipino youth.
The DPWH continues to implement education-related infrastructure projects nationwide, supporting the Marcos administration’s goal of fostering human capital development through investments in learning spaces and other essential public facilities. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Pampanga)
