DSWD, LGU officials harvest gains from project

SAN LUIS, Pampanga — Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian and Pampanga Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda personally visited a thriving community garden established by beneficiaries of Project LAWA at BINHI in this town, highlighting the program’s success in addressing climate-induced challenges.

Joined by Congresswoman Anna York Bondoc and Mayor Jayson Sagum, the officials participated in the harvest and shared a boodle fight with locals, showcasing the fruits of sustainable farming efforts.

Project LAWA at BINHI, under DSWD’s Risk Resiliency Program – Cash-for-Training and Work (RRP-CFTW), provides long-term solutions to food and water insecurity caused by El Niño and La Niña. In San Luis alone, 200 residents have received P10,000 each for their eco-centered work.
