SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – To strengthen coordination and operational readiness, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) distributed Prime Handheld Radios to key units across Central Luzon on Friday, July 4.
The ceremonial turnover at Camp Olivas was led by PRO3 Acting Regional Director PBGen Ponce Rogelio I Peñones Jr. Units that received the radios include provincial and city police offices, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3, and Provincial Mobile Force Companies.

The move supports the modernization thrust of PNP Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III, focusing on responsive service, accountability, and improved field communication during emergencies and operations.
“This simple yet strategic initiative represents our commitment to a modernized and well-connected police force,” said Peñones. “Real-time, reliable communication is key.”

The radios are expected to enhance daily operations and critical response efforts, marking another step in PRO3’s goal to deliver more agile and people-centered policing under the “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, ang Gusto ng Pulis, Ligtas Ka” program.
