CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – At least 7,949 residents of San Fernando received financial aid under the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in partnership with the Pampanga provincial government.

Among the beneficiaries is Irma Dayundayun, a breakfast vendor from Barangay Calulut who had to stop working and now relies on her husband’s income as a construction worker. “Malaking tulong ito para sa amin… makakapagtinda ulit ako,” she said.

Each of the 2,635 beneficiaries in her batch received ₱5,625. The total assistance disbursed in the city reached ₱44.7 million.

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the distribution, joined by Special Assistant to the Vice Governor Angelina Blanco, PSWDO Head Fe Manarang, and staff from DSWD, PDRRMO, PSWDO, and GSO.

Officials said the ECT program aims to support families temporarily displaced from livelihood due to emergencies.
