TARLAC CITY — President Rodrigo R. Duterte declared April 19, Wednesday, as a special non-working day in Tarlac City in line with its 19th Charter Day.
Duterte issued Proclamation No. 188 signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on April 4 “to give the Tarlaqueños an opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.”
Tarlac was elevated into a component city by virtue of Republic Act of 8593, which was overwhelmingly ratified by the town’s registered voters in 1998.
City Tourism Office said that among the activities lined up this year include Little Big Shots Screening, Tarlac e-Sports League, Adobo Fest and Trade Fair, and Party at the By-Pass. (CLJD/TJBM PIA-3)
