LUBAO, Pampanga – Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan personally inspected the damaged dike road in Barangay Sta. Rita, Lubao following the appeal of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda for immediate action after recent storms worsened by the southwest monsoon.
Bonoan was joined by officials from the DPWH Regional Office, National Irrigation Administration (NIA), and the Pampanga provincial government, including Provincial Engineer Noli Pangan and PG-ENRO Head Arthur Punsalan.
Bonoan acknowledged the urgent risk of flooding if the dike remains unrepaired. He assured that both DPWH and NIA are coordinating efforts to rehabilitate critical infrastructure and conduct desilting operations in Pampanga River and beyond.
