Amid rising floodwaters and devastation, a grieving family in San Nicolas, Masantol, Pampanga, solemnly laid their loved one to rest — a powerful portrait of love, loss, and resilience. For nine consecutive days, Pampanga’s low-lying and coastal areas endured relentless rains from tropical cyclones Crising, Dante, and Emong, which intensified the southwest monsoon or habagat, leaving communities submerged and sorrow-stricken.
