Relief goods distributed to Santa Rita families

SANTA RITA, Pampanga – Relief assistance reached flood-affected families in Santa Rita on Tuesday, July 30, as local officials, in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), distributed food packs at the Santa Rita Plaza Covered Court.

The initiative was led by Mayor Reynan Calo, with support from Pampanga 2nd District Representative and former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. The distribution was part of ongoing efforts to assist communities impacted by continuous rains and flooding across the province.

Members of the Sangguniang Bayan were also on site to aid in the distribution and reaffirm the local government unit’s (LGU) commitment to stand by its residents.

Mayor Calo thanked CGMA and the DSWD for their continued assistance, saying their presence has played a crucial role in Santa Rita’s response and recovery efforts.

“Maragul lang saup reng relief goods a reni, salamat kari CGMA at MRC,” said Aurora Sarmiento, a resident of Barangay San Vicente, after receiving aid.

The relief operation is part of the LGU’s wider campaign to ensure that no affected family is left behind — a testament, officials say, to Santa Rita’s united and proactive governance.
