Two suspects nabbed in Porac drug bust

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Authorities arrested two men, including a high-value target, in a buy-bust operation that led to the seizure of P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu in Brgy. Hacienda Dolores, Porac, Pampanga, on Monday, July 29.

The Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) confirmed the operation was carried out by joint elements of the Porac Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) under the leadership of Pampanga police director PCOL Eugene M. Marcelo.

The suspects were identified as a certain “Dacula,” 47, and Acmad Hadjijalal y Pasandalan, 23. Both are unemployed residents of Brgy. Anupul, Bamban, Tarlac.

Authorities recovered approximately 500 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P3.4 million, along with nine marked P500 bills and 91 pieces of P500 boodle money.

Dacula, classified as a high-value individual (HVI), was arrested along with Hadjijalal after allegedly selling illegal drugs to undercover agents.

The suspects are now in the custody of the Porac police and will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

“This successful operation is a result of our relentless and coordinated efforts in intensifying anti-illegal drug campaigns across Pampanga,” Marcelo said. “Let this be a clear message to those involved in the drug trade: We are watching, we are working, and we will not stop until our province is drug-free.”

Police urged the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities that may threaten the peace and safety of their communities.
