CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Authorities intercepted a high-value shipment of illegal drugs worth over ₱25 million during an interdiction operation at a warehouse in the Clark Freeport Zone on Tuesday morning, July 30.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region III, through its Clark International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (CRK IADITG), led the operation alongside the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Clark, NBI Pampanga, and several units of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The joint team seized a parcel declared as a “Data Cable Roll,” shipped from Lier, Belgium, and addressed to a consignee in Rodriguez, Rizal. Inside were six transparent plastic pouches containing white crystalline powder later confirmed as ketamine—a controlled substance often misused as a party drug.

Authorities estimated the total weight of the seized drugs at over five kilograms, with a street value pegged at ₱25,310,000.

No suspects were arrested at the scene, but a case has been filed for violation of Section 4, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Importation of Dangerous Drugs.

PDEA said representative samples were sent to its regional laboratory for confirmatory testing. All operatives were reported safe following the operation.

Police Regional Office 3 Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. lauded the multi-agency coordination, calling it a “clear message” to drug syndicates.

“Central Luzon remains vigilant in securing our ports of entry. This operation underscores the power of strong inter-agency collaboration,” Peñones said.

Investigators are working to trace the network behind the shipment, including the sender and intended recipients.
