
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Porac Councilor Maynard Tadeo Lapid emerged victorious in the Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL) – Pampanga Chapter elections on Tuesday, August 12, securing the presidency with a decisive 194-12 win over City of San Fernando Councilor Reggie “G4” David, who conceded after the tally.
The election, held at Kingsborough International Convention Center, drew all 207 councilors from across the province. As president, Lapid will also sit as an ex-officio board member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Other newly elected officials include Vice President Rolando Dueñas Balingit (185 votes), Secretary General Mark Louie Tongol Arceo (180), Treasurer Jerome Ian Sumang Gaddi (187), Auditor Edith Velasquez Kabigting (182), Public Relations Officer Renato Quiambao Gopez (180), and Business Manager Patricia Anne Acorda (165).
Councilors elected as Federation Directors were Venacio S. Macapagal (174), Donaldo Kabigting III (172), Juan Manugue Carreon (170), Nelson David Dizon (170), Renz Louie Matic Canlas (169), Michael Angelo T. Lopez (168), Allen Maglalang Dungo (167), and Jennifer Navarro Macalino (165).
Vice Governor Lilia “Delta” Pineda congratulated Lapid and the newly elected officers, expressing confidence in their ability to advance the league’s programs and strengthen the advocacies of Pampanga’s councilors.
