BOC searches Discaya-linked luxury vehicles in Pasig

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Tuesday, September 2, carried out a court-ordered search at the Pasig headquarters of St. Gerrard General Contractor and Development Corp., linked to the Discaya family.

Armed with a warrant from the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 18, BOC agents found two luxury cars covered by the order — a Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and a Maserati Levante Modena 2022.

Investigators also discovered two other high-end vehicles not listed in the warrant, a Jaguar F-Pace and a bulletproof Cadillac Escalade, which will be included in the probe.

The search is part of the government’s crackdown on alleged smuggling of luxury cars tied to the Discayas, whose names surfaced in a Senate Blue Ribbon inquiry into anomalous flood control projects.

BOC Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno vowed decisive action: “Those hiding or abetting the concealment of these cars will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.”
