FLORIDABLANCA, Pampanga – For 18 years, 68-year-old Linda from Floridablanca has been bedridden due to multiple sclerosis. On top of paralysis, she had almost completely lost her hearing.
Her daughter, Habigail, who has been her full-time caregiver, once tried to inquire about a hearing aid. But at more than ₱100,000, the cost was far beyond their means.

This week, relief finally came. Linda was among the 256 beneficiaries of the free hearing aid program organized by the Pampanga provincial government in partnership with the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
“Naaayos na ulit ang pandinig ni Mama. Sobrang saya po namin,” Habigail said.

Fourth District Board Member Kaye Naguit highlighted the importance of the project in reaching underprivileged residents who need this kind of support. Together with Capitol staff and Starkey specialists, Naguit helped lead the Hearing Aid Mission in the province.
“This is about helping people hear the world again — and letting them know they are not alone,” she added.
