TARLAC CITY – The Aboitiz Group announced that TARI Estate, an industrial hub in Tarlac, has secured partnerships with anchor locators Coca-Cola and Ajinomoto.
Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines (CCEAP) has broken ground on a 42-hectare manufacturing plant.
In a statement, CCEAP President and CEO Gareth McGeown said the facility is envisioned to be the largest in the country and the company’s most significant infrastructure investment globally.
Tarlac City Mayor Susan Yap expressed support for CCEAP and TARI Estate, emphasizing the importance of public-private partnership in Tarlac’s local economy.
“We are very excited for Coca-Cola to call Tarlac home. Coca-Cola is an iconic brand with beverages we all know and love, and the City of Tarlac shares its commitment to bring more opportunities and uplift communities,” she said.
Tarlac Provincial Governor Christian Yap likewise expressed support for the project.
“We look forward to continuing working together in creating more economic opportunities here in Tarlac. We’re very grateful that we have been collaborating on sustainability, partnering with the communities, and generating more jobs for the Province of Tarlac,” he said.
Meanwhile, Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates Assistant Vice President for Luzon Operations Chino Zamora disclosed that Ajinomoto Philippines is also set to build a factory in TARI Estate, expected to create hundreds of job opportunities for Tarlaqueños and neighboring provinces.
Beyond infrastructure and job opportunities, the Aboitiz Group also supports education and environmental sustainability.
Recently, it turned over an AuroraPH package, a solar energy and internet connectivity solution, to Bonifacia G. Soliman High School (BGSHS) in Barangay Balanti, Tarlac City.
BGSHS Principal Sheryll Duque said the project will improve the teaching and learning process of the school.
“Now that we have a reliable source of power, our students can continue learning without worrying about power interruptions. This project is a big help in ensuring that our classes run smoothly and our learning resources are always accessible,” Duque said.
Hoping to further contribute to Central Luzon’s socio-economic growth, the Aboitiz Group remains committed to driving inclusive progress through its corporate social responsibility initiatives. (CLJD/AJRR, PIA Region 3-Tarlac)
