PhilHealth Yakap Caravan brings free care in Mabalacat

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – More than 400 residents of Mabalacat City received free medical services and medicines during the PhilHealth YAKAP Caravan held at SM City Clark on Friday, September 19.

The program, known as YAKAP or Yaman ng Kalusugan Program, offered not only basic check-ups but also free laboratory tests and cancer screening. Organizers said the initiative seeks to strengthen preventive healthcare and ensure early detection of diseases.

PhilHealth officials said the caravan is part of the agency’s broader push to make primary care benefits more accessible to Filipinos. Their call to the public: “Magpa-YAKAP na tayo sa PhilHealth!”

Mayor Geld Aquino thanked PhilHealth for bringing the services closer to Mabalacat residents, adding that his administration is committed to working with the national government to deliver more health programs.
