AFAB strengthens freeport security through multi-sector consultation

Mariveles, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), through its Public Safety and Security Department (PSSD), reaffirmed its commitment to public safety by actively participating in a Security Consultation Meeting Forum hosted by the 702nd Infantry (Defender) Brigade, Philippine Army. The forum gathered representatives from the PNP, PA, BFP, PCG, NICA, BOC, and security managers from private companies to address key concerns on public safety, maritime security, threat response, immigration matters, and reserve development.

The consultation underscored the crucial role of collaboration and shared responsibility among government agencies, security forces, and the private sector in ensuring a safe and resilient Freeport. AFAB highlighted that security is not merely a priority but a cornerstone of investor confidence, sustainable growth, and community trust.

Through its active support of initiatives such as this forum, AFAB demonstrates a proactive and forward-looking approach by opening channels for dialogue, fostering information exchange, and promoting joint planning. These efforts ensure that the Freeport thrives not only as an economic hub but also as a model of resilience, preparedness, and cooperation.

This initiative is a testament to AFAB’s unwavering commitment to protect locators, workers, and residents while nurturing a secure, inclusive, and business-friendly environment in the Freeport Area of Bataan.
