
AURORA, Philippines – State workers, community leaders, and volunteers joined the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in a coastal clean-up and greening drive in Casiguran, Aurora.

According to Ariel Mendoza, head of the DENR-CENRO Casiguran, participants collected 34.5 kilos of waste and planted more than 230 Agoho and Bitaog seedlings along the coastline to restore the beach forest ecosystem.

DENR Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo praised the initiative, stressing that safeguarding the environment requires collective action and builds more sustainable and resilient communities for future generations.
