MEXICO, Pampanga – Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon has warned Eddmari Construction & Trading to come clean over the collapsed ₱273-million Barangay Candating Flood Control Project in Arayat, amid allegations that the company merely lent its license to ADG Construction, owned by former Pampanga congressman Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr.

Dizon, joined by Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong of the Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI), inspected the failed project on September 23. Local officials and residents, including Mexico ABC President Terence Napao, said it was ADG that actually handled the construction.

The collapse has fueled calls for accountability, with critics citing long-standing warnings about substandard sheet piles and inflated flood control allocations. The ICI has vowed to investigate and subpoena those involved, while the Commission on Audit has flagged similar irregularities across Central Luzon.
