CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA — Over 4,000 ambulant vendors across the province received financial and livelihood assistance from the Provincial Government of Pampanga and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as part of the government’s continuing efforts to uplift low-income families and small-scale entrepreneurs.

The distribution was held from November 4 and 5 at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in the City of San Fernando, where Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda personally met with the beneficiaries. Governor Pineda underscored the importance of supporting hardworking Kapampangans as part of her administration’s commitment to inclusive development.

“Naisip ko talaga kayo. Habang malakas ako, gusto ko malusog lahat at walang napabayaang Kapampangan,” Governor Pineda said in her message to the beneficiaries.

Each vendor received ₱3,000 in cash assistance to support and expand their small businesses under the Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) of the DSWD.

In addition, 70 beneficiaries from the municipalities of Arayat and Candaba were granted ₱15,000 each under the DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) to help them establish or enhance sustainable sources of income.

According to DSWD Regional Director Venus Rebuldela, the partnership with the provincial government aims to provide not only immediate relief but also long-term livelihood opportunities.

“This assistance serves as additional capital for our hardworking vendors,” she said.
