BALANGA CITY – Bataan Police Provincial Office (PPO) seized about 76.1 grams of suspected shabu worth P517,480 in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Pita, Dinalupihan town.
This operation is part of ongoing government efforts to enforce the law and dismantle illegal drug activities in the province.
Authorities reported that personnel of the Dinalupihan Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested two individuals allegedly involved in the conspiracy to sell suspected shabu and apprehended several others caught in an actual pot session during the operation.
Police Regional Director PBGen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. affirmed that the operation reflects the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs in Central Luzon.
“Every operation we carry out supports the PNP Focused Agenda and our 3Ps. We will keep targeting drug personalities to protect our communities and maintain peace and order,” he said.
Bataan PPO Provincial Director Police Colonel Marites Salvadora said the provincial police continue to intensify anti-illegal drug operations and remain firm in arresting individuals or groups engaged in drug-related activities.
She added that these efforts aim to protect residents, particularly the youth, from the serious and harmful effects of drugs.
The suspects are under the custody of the Dinalupihan MPS and will face charges for violation of Sections 5, 11, 13, 14, and 15, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Bataan)
