Thirty-five senior high school students and teachers from Benigno S. Aquino National High School in Concepcion, Tarlac completed a two-day, in-person Google AI Essentials training conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through Negosyo Center Concepcion.
DTI Tarlac Acting Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said the training aims to boost productivity and equip participants with practical AI skills for employment and potential job creation.
Held under the DTI–Google Certificate Program, the course introduced participants to artificial intelligence via Coursera, covering responsible AI use and strategies to keep pace with emerging technologies.
The initiative forms part of DTI’s efforts to promote digital empowerment and prepare school communities for a technology-driven future.
