STA. RITA, Pampanga — A Farm Business School (FBS) was formally launched in Barangay Sta. Monica, Santa Rita, following the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) on February 20, 2026.
The 17-week program aims to equip members of Santa Monica MPCI and the San Agustin (SRP) Farmers Association with practical knowledge and skills to become more business-oriented in their farming practices, positioning them as agri-entrepreneurs.
The initiative is anchored on a tripartite agreement among the Santa Rita local government unit, the Department of Agrarian Reform, and Santa Monica MPCI.
Santa Rita Mayor Reynan S. Calo led the signing ceremony, joined by Emmanuel G. Aguinaldo Parpo II of DAR Provincial Office Pampanga. FBS facilitators Konrad Stefan V. Mantes and Mark Alvarado were also present, along with Municipal Agriculturist Emelita Hernandez and representatives of partner groups.
Local officials said the program forms part of efforts to strengthen support for farmers through capacity building, sustainability, and improved agricultural productivity.
