ARAYAT, Pampanga — Arayat Mayor Jeff Luriz reminded residents that garbage collection in all barangays remains free of charge but urged households to strictly follow proper waste segregation to avoid penalties.
Luriz said the municipal government continues to provide free garbage collection as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain cleanliness and order in the town.
However, he stressed that under existing Solid Waste Management regulations, garbage that is not properly segregated may still be subject to corresponding fines.
Residents are advised to separate their waste into biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable materials before placing them outside for collection.
The mayor called on residents to cooperate with the policy, saying proper waste segregation will help protect the environment and ensure a cleaner and more disciplined Arayat community. DENG PANGILINAN
