Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda together with members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan distributed on Friday some P4,957,500 as cash assistance to 661 daycare workers in Pampanga.
This is part of the continuing commitment of Gov. Lilia Pineda in improving the quality of life of the beneficiaries who work hard for the early childhood care of the daycare pupils.
The daycare workers who received P7,500 each were also given pieces of undergarments during the Provincial Daycare Workers’ General Assembly held at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.
Elizabeth E. Baybayan, provincial social welfare and development officer (PSWDO) said the subsidy augmentation covered the months of January to May 2017.
“This is in accordance to Ordinance 553, Series of 2012 which gives P1,500 every month effective June 2016 to the Day Care Workers,” the PSWDO said.
Third District Board Member Rosve Henson said the provincial government led by Governor Pineda and Vice Governor Delta is very thankful to the “unsung heroes” of the province who play an important role in molding the minds of the youth.
To help ease the burden of the day care workers in going to Land Bank of the Philippines, the staff of the bank were also present to serve and encash the check incentives.
Other board members present are Anthony Joseph Torres, Salvador Dimson from 2ndDistrict; Nelson Calara, Paul Balingit from 4th District and Cherry Manalo from the 1st District.
