2 Capitol scholars clinch civil engineering board exams

Two Kapampangan scholars have passed the Civil Engineering Board Examination held last November.

Twenty-two years old Bernard T. Morales from Mabalacat City, and John Renzo M. Liquete from Lubao town are both graduates from Holy Angel University (HAU).

As scholars, the two received P10, 000 each per semester for their educational assistance from the provincial capitol.

In an interview, Morales said he is very thankful to Governor Lilia Pineda for the scholarship and for subsidizing some of his expenses to the review center for their civil engineering board exam.

He also advised his fellow scholars to study hard so they can reach their goals in life.

Liquete said the scholarship granted by the provincial government had helped much to support her through her college degree, adding that he and his family are grateful for the opportunity.

“My educational pursuit would not be possible without the generous support from this scholarship. My plan for now is to get a job where I can enhance my skills in working professionally in the field of civil engineering,” Liquete said in a text message.

Meanwhile, Pineda assured Kapampangan students that education would be one of her priorities, aside from health. — Leslie Anne Mahusay/PIO
