CAMP CIRILO TOLENTINO – The twenty six candidates vying for “Ganda Pulis 2018” paid call to Bataan Police Provincial Office provincial director, Senior Supt. Marcelo Dayag last Friday.
Before Bataan, they went to PRO3 Regional Director P/Chief Supt. Amador Corpus at the PANA Hall of Camp Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga as part of the “Ganda Pulis 2018” pageant tour nationwide.
The candidates were accompanied by Police Community Relations Group (PCRG) Director P/Chief Supt. Rhodel Sermonia who gave livelihood
packages to drugs surrenderers after the blessing of the Camp Tolentino chapel.
Now on its second year, the “Gandang Pulis” aims to recognize the role of policewomen, strengthen public advocacy on issues concerning women and to highlight the participation of women on leadership roles and social responsibility.
The “Ganda Pulis 2018” candidates who represent the 16 police regional offices, 5 National Capital Region districts and 5 national support units of the country will serve as ambassadors of PNP’s various advocacy programs particularly “OPLAN TOKHANG”.
The candidates participated in community outreach visits to Bahay Pagbabago in Bataan and Tarlac and distributed livelihood tools to former drug dependents on Friday and Saturday, and held Pulis Natin Caravan and outreach programs on Saturday in Baguio City.
The grand finals and coronation night will be held on April 23, 2018 at the PNP Multi-Purpose Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City. –Photos by Jimmy Z. Mangalindan and PRO3
