LUBAO, Pampanga —- Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Chairwoman Andrea Domingo on Friday officially turned over a P50 million, four-storey building to Lubao National High School in Barangay San Nicolas 1st here.
Domingo was accompanied by 2nd district Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab during a simple turned over ceremony and inauguration of the school building.
The 20-room building has comfort rooms for boys and girls in every floor.
During her speech, Domingo announced that the PAGCOR has allocated P1 billion for the construction of schools, multi-purpose halls for emergencies, but also as school building and more permanent evacuation centers.
Domingo furthered that LNHS is among the 4,000 out of 7,200 school buildings that PAGCOR have constructed under its Corporate and Social Responsibility programs.
“We will continue building and donating school buildings up to next year,” Domingo stressed.
For her part, Mayor Cayabyab thanked PAGCOR for choosing LNHS as one of its beneficiaries.
“We felt lucky to have this blessing, a blessing that can contribute to the future of our youth today. We thank PAGCOR and every agency and individuals for being our partners in giving our constituents quality education and other services,” Cayabyab added.
