LUBAO, Pampanga — Fourty-four newly appointed Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan chairmen along with their councilors took their oath on Friday here.
During their mass oathtaking ceremony, Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab urged new leaders of the 44 barangays in her town to start working, specifically on its anti-illegal drug campaign which is the main thrust of President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration to eradicate the proliferation of illegal drugs activities in every barangay.
The lady mayor also urged them to look after the health condition of each member of the community to prevent the spread of illness.
Cayabyad even reiterated to the newly appointed barangay and SK officials to work together to promote cleanliness in the community specifically the collection, segregation of garbage. She also called the attention of the barangays to utilize the town’s material recovery facility (MRF) in garbage disposal.
Creation of social media account for every barangays is also a must to address the needs and complaints of every citizen in the community.
“Kailangan bawat barangay may kanya kanyang social media account ng sa ganun madali po natin matulunguan o matugunan ang bawat hinaing ng mga nasa barangay natin. At para mapadali ang ating komunikasyon,” the mayor stressed.
Meantime, Former President now Second district Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo reiterated her call to support President Duterte’s campaign on illegal drugs particularly in the community.
The mass oathtaking ceremony started with a Eucharistic Celebration held at the St.Augustine Church attended by Mayor Cayabyab, Congresswoman Arroyo, and Lubao Sangguniang Bayan Members.
Lubao town has 44 barangays.
