QUEZON CITY – Governor Albert Raymond Garcia of the Province of Bataan was the Guest of Honor and Speaker on the 23rd Police Community Relations Month celebration running on a theme: “Tapat na Serbisyo at Paglilingkod ng Kapulisan Kaagapay ang Mamamayan, Hatid ay Kaunlaran.
The culminating activity was held yesterday, July 30, 2018 at the Camp Crame in this City.
In his message, Governor Garcia expressed his gratitude to the National Police for maintaining peace and order in Bataan which is an important factor in the economic progress of the province.
Meanwhile, PNP Chief, Police Director General Oscar Albayalde and the PNP Command Group together with Governor Garcia led the awarding of outstanding personnel and units with valuable contributions in promoting police community relations.
The new PNP Mascot, “PO1 Gadee” was also launched during the event. PO1 Gadee is the official PNP Gender and Development Mascot which aims to raise awareness on gender and development concepts, principles and initiatives of the PNP.
Plaques of Merit were given to the following awardees:
Outstanding Senior Police Commissioned Officer for 2018 – PSUPT Teresita Escamillan (QCPD);
Outstanding Junior Police Commissioned Officer for 2018 – PCInsp Concepcion Salas (NPD);
Outstanding Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for 2018 – SPO1 Perla Pagulayan (Gonzaga Police Station);
Outstanding Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for 2018 – PO1 Clenton Lopes (Dinagat Islands PPO);
Junior Police Commissioned Officer for 2018 – PSInsp Dunstan Daoay (DPCR);
Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for 2018 – SPO3 Michael Mendones (DPCR);
Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for 2018 – PO3 Rommel Benito (DPCR);
Outstanding Senior Police Commissioned Officer of the Public Information Office for 2018 – PCInsp Ayn Natuel;
Outstanding Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer of the Public Information Office for 2018 – PO3 Caroline Dela Cruz;
Outstanding Non-Uniformed Personnel of the Public Information Office for 2018 – NUP Ernesto Lasig; and
PSUPT Juan Sindac, Jr., (Ret.) for his remarkable performance of his duty that contributed to the success of delivering the mandates of the PIO.

Baguio City Police Office PRO Cordillera for being the “Outstanding City Police Office for Police Community Relations for 2018”;
Tagaytay City Police Station PRO 4-A for being the “Outstanding City Police Station for Police Community Relations for 2018”;
Liliw Municipal Police Station PRO 4-A for being the “Outstanding Municipal Police Station”;
Police Regional Office 1 for obtaining the highest accomplishment of 80.01% in the PNP Recovery and Wellness Program;

A Special Unit Award was also given to the Police Community Relations Group.
