CAMP GEN ALEJO S SANTOS, City of Malolos, Bulacan — Two suspects were killed while 22 others were arrested in Bulacan drug raids on Friday.
PSSupt. Chito Bersaluna, Acting Provincial Director of Bulacan PNP identified the suspects who died during the buy bust operations as Ronaldo Alcoriza and Rainier Alfonso, resident of Sitio Baog, both of Barangay Matimbo, Malolos City who are both included in barangay drugs watch list.
Malolos Police chief Supt. Heryl Bruno said separate buy-bust operations were conducted against the suspects which resulted to their death.
Investigation showed that around 9:40pm, a drug bust operation was conducted against suspect Alcoriza and after the transaction the suspect resisted arrest figuring in a gunfight with the operatives that resulted to his death. The suspect’s companion escaped onboard a black motorcycle without plate number.
Recovered from the scene were one caliber 38 revolver; a black sling bag containing eight pieces of small heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu and marked money.
Meanwhile, at around 9:50pm, Alfonso sensed the poseur buyer he’s transacting with is a police. A gunfight ensued which resulted to Alfonso’s death while his cohort managed to escape.
Bersaluna said that different buy-bust operations were conducted by City/Municipal Police Stations of Malolos, Hagonoy, Bustos, San Miguel, Bocaue, Meycauayan, San Jose Del Monte, Santa Maria and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit that resulted to the arrest of twenty-two drug suspects.
A total of 50 pieces plastic sachets of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia and buy-bust money were confiscated from the suspects during the operations.
