Joint elements of the Bureau of Customs (BOC), Bulacan Police and Marilao Police have sealed off a warehouse in an industrial compound after they found undetermined cavans of alleged smuggled imported rice from China in Marilao, Bulacan early dawn on Friday.
Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan Police Director said the team of Alvin Encino of Department of Finance of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service padlocked and cordoned Evergreen Warehouse inside the compound of Federal Corporation (Fedcor) in Barangay Ibayo, Marilao.
The raiding team swooped down in the said warehouse and padlocked the compound after thorough inspection for some violations.
Bersaluna said the authorities have yet to determine the exact quantity of the rice allegedly illegally smuggled from China.
