ORANI, Bataan – Bataan First District Representative Geraldine B. Roman recently held her People’s Day in Morong.
Roman was joined by Morong Municipal Mayor Cynthia G. Linao and Vice-Mayor Maria Chona L. Garcia, as well as Morong’s Sangguniang Bayan Members and employees.
Commonly, Congresswoman Roman conducts her people’s day at her district office in their Orani residence where she is fully supported by her mother, former Congresswoman Herminia B. Roman.
“I always make it a point to be in touch with my constituents. This is the way by which I get to know and understand their problems and concerns. I also get a lot of feedback and recommendations regarding how their needs can be addressed and as to what else can be done for my District. I am all ears to both the positive and the negative. I learn a lot from them,” Roman said thru her Facebook Page post.
Roman in doing her people’s day, said she always inform her constituents of her priority areas for funding and what are her latest bills filed and its status in the House of Representatives.
The lady solon’s people’s day is also the time for informing the constituents for projects of the barangays being determined or requested by the barangay (village chiefs) captains to ensure that the projects of every village are in line with the basic thrusts of the municipality or the province, as well.
Consultations are also being entertained wherein residents were given the chance to clarify certain issues as well as express their needs.
“Indeed, it is always a big pleasure to be of service to my constituents. Ensuring that they have sustainable livelihoods and good health and well-being remains my top priority as their Representative in the House of Representatives,” Roman added.
