CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A total of 23,321 indigents benefitted from the Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) payout held Saturday in various parts of Central Luzon.
From the figure, 748 of the recipients are from Aurora; 3,618 from Bataan; 1,311 from Bulacan; 7,728 from Nueva Ecija; 4,389 from Pampanga; 3,554 from Tarlac; and 1,973 from Zambales. Each beneficiary received Php2,400 which is good for one year.
“UCT is a program under the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion Law. It is designed to provide Php200 per month in 2018 and Php300 per month in 2019 to 2020 to 4.4 million Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program beneficiaries, 3 million Social Pension Program beneficiaries and 2.4 million Listahanan beneficiaries all over the country,” DSWD Regional Director Gemma B. Gabuya said.
DSWD reiterates that the activity is neither a project nor a program of any incumbent elected official or any known individual who recently filed their Certificate of Candidacy in the 2019 midterm elections.
“We remind the public that local officials are good partners in program implementation, however, the same have no power in the inclusion and exclusion processes of national DSWD programs and services,” Gabuya added.
