Philippines, Belgium kick off international pyro show in Clark

The Philippine’s very own Platinum Fireworks Inc., painted the skies with a bright and colorful fireworks display during the opening of the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (PIPC) at SM City Clark.


The opening exhibition from the Philippine team has wowed thousands of spectators from Metro Manila and Cental Luzon.


Belgium’s CBF Pyrotechnics kept up the thrill as the first contender, painting the Pampanga skies with bright gold, blue and red fireworks.


Other contenders to the PIPC set to display their fireworks are Germany’s Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke and Portugal’s Pirotecnia Minhota on March 2; France’s Brezac Artifices and Finland’s Oy Pyroman on March 9; Italy’s Viviano SRL and United Kingdom on March 16; Canada’s Fireworks Spectaculars and China’s Polaris Fireworks on March 23; and Poland’s Surex Firma Rodzinna and a grand finale show from Platinum Fireworks on March 30.


The annual PIPC Photo Contest will also highlight entries from amateur and professional photographers wherein winners will receive special prizes from PIPC’s partners and sponsors.


Tickets to the pyromusical show are available at www.pyrophilippines.com or through SM Tickets, SM Cinemas, SM Mall of Asia ticket booths starting February 13, and at SM City Clark ticket booths starting February 14. 


The show is made possible by Platinum Fireworks, the Angeles City Government, the Department of Tourism, the Tourism Promotions Board, and the Philippine Reclamation Authority among others.
